Synopsis

IT’S NOT EVERYDAY YOU FIND YOURSELF IN COMBAT WITH A HALF-LION, HALF-HUMAN.

But when you’re the son of a Greek god, it happens. And now my friend Annabeth is missing, a goddess is in chains and only five half-blood heroes can join the quest to defeat the doomsday monster.

Oh, and guess what? The Oracle has predicted that not all of us will survive…

My Personal Thoughts

Percy! I enjoyed reading the 3rd book because Percy has always been innocent and stubborn. His feelings for his friends is always on top. He is always there ready to save them. This series is a must-read for young readers especially those who are just starting to become a full-pledged bookworm! I highly recommend this book though I’ve only finished the first three books, there is just something about this story that caught my interest. The gods and goddesses are so appealing; introducing them made the reading experience spectacular and informative and fun fun fun! While enjoying Percy and friends’ rollercoaster ride towards accomplishing certain goals, a reader also gets to learn a lot. It is very refreshing and even though I am already 29 y/o, I feel younger. The setting has always been cool because despite having monsters and other entities, the story is still modern-ish because of the USA setting. The characters are all easy to like and love especially Grover who is always on the go and bubbly. There are some annoying characters like Clarisse and Luke as well but they are tolerable. The writing style is impressive because I wasn’t bored. I was able to finish it in a day which makes it highly entertaining. Yes, I recommend this book for readers of all ages. It deserves a 4/5 rating because overall, it is one of the best mythology series.
